Amanda comes from a family of painters, architects and engineers, “noticers”, who taught her to see the wonder in the world around her. Before focusing on her artwork full time, she spent over a decade working in some of the most iconic historic houses and buildings on the East Coast. These experiences, and a lifetime of “noticing”, infuse her paintings today.
She has worked with or been commissioned by, The Webb Deane Stevens Museum, The Read House & Gardens, The Delaware Historical Society and Nemours Estate, among others. Amanda’s ongoing collaboration with Nemours Estate has resulted in exclusive giclée prints and note cards that can be purchased in the Estate Museum Shop. Her note cards can also be found in The Read House & Gardens Museum Shop, The Apothecary at Currie, and Currie in the DuPont Building.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Amanda is an experienced nature journaling workshop teacher, dedicated to inspiring others to connect with their surroundings through observation and creativity. She is currently working on an illustrated journal documenting the seasonal changes on the woodland trails along the Brandywine.
